ON YOUR BIKE

CYCLE HIRE POLICY

Any damage to Cycles due to customer negligence or incompetence during hire may incur a discretionary charge for repair on inspection.

The customer is responsible for the equipment whilst on hire.

If you come into any problems during your hire, the issue must be called in (the phone number is on all the bikes and business card we give out) we will then offer assistance through phone or send our breakdown driver to assist road side or swap with a replacement bike.

Cyclists must abide by the rules of the road and all bikes must stay on the road. They cannot be cycled on the pavement or taken on the beach or through fields as it damages the gears and will cost time and money to repair. If you are unsure of any rules of the road please ask staff.

Refunds and deposit return are subject to On Your Bike refund policy.

Sensible cycling at all times – no skidding, cycling on one wheel or cycling with no hands.

On Your Bike cannot be held liable for injury or damage due to cyclist choice of inappropriate clothing I.e. flip flops, baggy or loose trousers or exposed skin, or for any injuries sustained by anyone in the group as a consequence of not wearing a safety helmet.

Helmets are not mandatory by law but are encouraged to be worn and are provided free of charge to hire, except for children in child seats – they must wear a helmet.

Cyclists must not have any medical conditions which would prevent them from cycling safely or be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

On Your Bike are happy to answer any questions customers may have regarding their hire and will help as much as we can, however questions and help must be asked for in order for us to assist. Otherwise we cannot know if you are unsure of anything regarding your hire.

On Your Bike ensure all customers have correct fitting bikes upon leaving the store. If bikes are swapped within the group during the hire, On Your Bike is not responsible for ill fitting bikes, which could result in damage or injury.

Customers agree upon leaving the store that they are happy and confident with the bike On Your Bike has given them to hire. If you are not happy with the bike you have been given, we will be happy to exchange in store before you leave and begin your hire.
